A few weeks ago, my Wordpress blog was hacked. It was easy to restore, but my attempts to beef up the security backfired. I installed a few security related plugins, and was completely locked out of my account. That's a kind of security, I suppose, but not a useful kind.

It was time to try something new. Blogofile offered a nice solution. I have migrated all my old posts to simple markdown files and have started to modify the site template. It isn't finished yet, but it's getting there.

Since Blogofile is a static website generator, it offers certain security advantages, mainly by not even having a log-in facility. Sometimes simple is better.
